Due to the corona, the markets and shopping malls have not been open properly for the last two years. Shoppers are also flocking to these markets and shopping malls at night to shop for loved ones and family members. The traders of the district got their lives back as the market was open completely and naturally and the buyers gathered.

On Sunday (April 24) evening, such a scene can be seen in the online shopping malls on the North Circular Road in the town of Nekmarad in Ranishankail, a large and traditional cloth market district of North Bengal, and at 11:30 pm in Thakurgaon.

Ziaur Rahman Zia, a cloth merchant at Nawab Cloth Store in Nekmarad Bazar, said he could not open the store properly last year due to corona. So the sale was not so much. However, this time the market is open and the number of buyers has increased. As the prices of other things have gone up, so has the price of clothes. The sari that we sold last time for 950 rupees, this time we had to buy the sari for 950 rupees. Rising prices make it a little harder for buyers to understand.

Maulana Mohammad, general teacher of Goalpara Darussalam Qawmi Madrasa, came to buy clothes for Madrasa students at Satata Bastralaya, North Circular Road, Thakurgaon. Imdadul Haque. He said the market in Corona had not been open for a long time before. However, now that the market is open, we are able to buy clothes as neatly and beautifully as we can. Feeling very good. Students will also be happy to get new clothes.

Sabina Akhter, a housewife who came to shop for her family and children at night, said that she did not get a chance to come to the market during the day due to her busy schedule. Now I am buying clothes for my child. I haven’t bought it yet, I will buy clothes for other family members so I am looking around the market.

Mahbub Sarkar, the owner of Baby House, said that for the last two years, Corona has not been able to do business properly. This time the price of clothes is a little higher but the gathering of people in the market is much higher. Sales are also good. Now the demand for Sharara and Garara type garments is high.

Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as a result of recent corporate scandals. Compared to last year, the price of each garment has increased by about 200 rupees.

The traders also said that the market is crowded with shoppers from 10 am to 5 pm and from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm. They are hopeful that more people will gather in the market in a few days of Eid.

Thakurgaon Superintendent of Police Jahangir Hossain told Jago News that law enforcement agencies were working in white to ensure the safety of the people at the Eid Market. Police are working to prevent any disturbance in the district ahead of Eid.
