In a statement, Biden praised Karin’s experience, talent and honesty. He says he is proud to announce Karin’s name as White House press secretary.
Outgoing press secretary Saki also tweeted about the appointment. He welcomed the decision to appoint Karin as White House press secretary.
Saki wrote in a tweet that Karin would be the first black woman to take over as White House press secretary and the first public LGBTQ Plus person.
Much depends on the representation. He will be the voice of many.
Karin, 44, campaigned for former US President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012.
Karin campaigned for Biden in 2020 before joining the White House.
When Biden was vice president of the Obama administration, Karin worked under him.
Karin was born on the French island of Martini. However, he grew up in New York, USA. French-speaking Karin’s parents are Haitian. They migrated to the United States at one stage.
Karin graduated from Columbia University. His partner is a CNN reporter. They have a daughter.
