On September 8, Lombardi Trophy favorite Buffalo heads to Los Angeles to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Rams. Most NFL experts believe that if Bills starting quarterback Josh Allen dominates the way he did in 2021, Buffalo will win the NFL title.

Allen isn’t the only QB who can lead his team to the championship. See below for this NFL season’s top twelve quarterbacks.

Top 12 NFL Quarterbacks

1. Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs

The 2018 NFL MVPdoesn’t always post incredible stats, but it doesn’t matter. Patrick Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL.

Mahomes can dominate if he must. But Patrick prefers to grab wins no matter what stats he posts, which is one of the reasons he is the best.

If Mahomes and former Packer Marquez Valdez-Scantling develop a good rapport, watch out. Patrick could post stats similar to those that led to the 2018 most valuable player trophy.

2. Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills

Last season, Allen posted ridiculous stats:4,407 passing yards, 36 TD passes, and just 15 interceptions. Allen even rushed for 763 yards and 6 touchdowns. We should expect Allen to post similar stats in 2022.

3. Tom Brady – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The ageless one remains one of the top three quarterbacks in the league. If Tampa comes close to winning the Super Bowl this season, it will be because Brady plays excellent.

4. Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers

The two-time defending NFL Most Valuable Player’s 2022 stats should pale compared to his 2021 stats. But Rodgers is a winner. So although he may not throw for as many yards and touchdowns, Aaron will find ways to lead the Packers to victory.

5. Russell Wilson – Denver Broncos

Russell Wilson plays behind a top offensive line and with a strong rushing attack for the first time since his early days in a Seattle Seahawks uniform. Russell will undoubtedly show what he can do when given time and a rushing attack on which to lean.

6. Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys

This season, Dak can eclipse his stats from last season because CeeDee Lamb, a rookie of the year candidate in 2021, is Prescott’s top target in 2022.

7. Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals

Burrow surprised everyone when leading the underdog Cincinnati Bengals to Super Bowl 56. Don’t be surprised if Joe Cool leads the Bengals to playoff wins over KC and Buffalo and a second straight conference title.

8. Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens

A couple of seasons ago, Lamar topped this list. But at times, Jackson has struggled in the passing game. Lamar may never be the passer that Patrick Mahomes is. But his sheer athletic abilityand tremendous leadership skillskeep him in the top ten.

9. Justin Herbert – Los Angeles Chargers

The Bolts’ starting quarterback has become one of the league’s best. Herbert has arm strength that rivals Charger legend Dan Fouts’. The real key to Justin’s early career success is his ability to read defenses and make the right decision.

10. Derek Carr – Las Vegas Raiders

There’s a good chance Derek Carr leads the NFL in most passing yards. After last season’s debacle, where the Raiders firedcoach Jon Gruden after inappropriate emails surfaced, Vegas hired Tom Brady’s former offensive coordinator and Bill Belichick disciple Josh McDaniels to coach. The Raiders also traded for the best wide receiver in the league, former Green Bay star Davante Adams.

11. Matt Ryan – Indianapolis Colts

Matt Ryan, another former NFL MVP on this list, spent his entire career with the Atlanta Falcons. But this offseason, the ATL decided to move in a different direction.

Enter the Colts, who were more than happy to trade Matty Ice. At Indianapolis, Ryan can lean on running back Jonathan Taylor and throw to one of the most talented pass-catching backs in the NFL, Nyheim Hines.

12.Matthew Stafford – Los Angeles Rams

The man that led the Rams to their first-ever Super Bowl victory remains in the top 12 even though there’s a real question if he’ll be one hundred percent healthy when the season starts.

Staff is suffering from an elbow issue. The good news? The Rams’ QB1 started throwing on August 11. Stafford will move up the list if he’s healthy enough to throw darts to wideout Cooper Kupp.

The NFL is back. Get ready to root for your team in what promises to be one of the greatest seasons in pro football history.
