State Minister for Primary and Mass Education. Zakir Hossain said the infrastructure of 342 government primary schools in Dhaka metropolis will be redesigned. This will ensure a child-friendly learning environment for about two lakh students.

As part of this, the state minister for mass education said this while addressing as the chief guest at the ground breaking ceremony of Mohammadpur Government Primary School in the capital on Wednesday.
Zakir Hossain said effective initiatives have been taken to make education enjoyable and the school as a child’s favorite premises. A project worth Tk 1,159.21 crore has been approved for this; Named ‘Drishtinandan Project’.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Aminul Islam Khan, Additional Chief Engineer of the Department of Local Government Engineering Mujibur Rahman Sikder, Project Director Mizanur Rahman and others spoke on the occasion under the chairmanship of Director General of the Department of Primary Education Alamgir Muhammad Mansurul Alam.
A six-storey building will be constructed under this project. The building has modern classrooms, children’s sports, entertainment and various facilities including waiting room for parents.
