Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf started its tenure in 2018 till 2022. PTI’s president Imran Khan did countless promises before the elections. In his election campaign, he promised repayment of loans, jobs, houses, and relief for farmers. During his tenure, he delivered some of those promises.

Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme

Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme is a project for providing homes to the lower and upper-lower class of Pakistan on a need and demand basis. Initially, the construction of five million houses is underway in rural, peri-urban, and urban areas, spread over the entire country.

This project aims not only to offer respectable living to citizens but also create construction activity in the country that becomes a stimulus for investment and creating employment opportunities for labor.

Sehat Sahulat Program

Sehat Saluhat Program is a health insurance initiative taken by the Federal Government in partnership with the provincial governments. The program aims in improving the health status of the poor. 

Under this scheme, Sehat Insaf Cards are given to people and those holding them are entitled to free treatment in case of admission in various hospitals. Every provincial government is managing its Sehat Sahulat program according to its regulations.

Ehsaas Program

Ehsaas program was officially launched in March 2019. It includes different sub-programs such as Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program, Ehsaas Panaah Gah, Ehsaas Taleemi Wazif, Ehsaas Petrol Card, Ehsaas Ration Riyaat, Ehsaas Scholarships, etc. 

The main purpose of this program was to uplift the poor class, help orphans, widows, homeless, disabled, jobless, farmers, laborers, students from a low-income background, and poor women and elderly.

Clean Green Pakistan

Clean Green Pakistan is a five-year campaign of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to promote cleanliness and plantation in partnership with WaterAid Pakistan. The campaign has 5 pillars:

Safe drinking water Liquid waste management Solid waste management Tree plantation Total sanitation and hygiene promotion

The campaign will start from Islamabad and then trigger similar actions in other provinces.

Insaf Afternoon School Program

Insaf Afternoon School Program aims to provide equal educational opportunities to children in areas where schools are deficient. The program ‘upgrades’ the existing school to a higher grade level, allowing students to transition into higher grades under the same building.

This saves the need for new schools and also provides employment opportunities for hiring teachers.
