BKF had a football academy in Sylhet BKSP. BFF could not run that academy for long. After that BKSP went under the Ministry of Youth and Sports again.
There was some stagnation in this BKSP between the reshuffle of ministries from ministry to BFF and from BFF to ministry. But after overcoming that stagnation, now it has got the touch of modernity. State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Zahid Ahsan Russell MP inaugurated the newly constructed academic building and synthetic football field of Sylhet BKSP this afternoon.

Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function, the Minister of State for Youth and Sports said, “ Bangladesh Football Federation was given about 5 years to use Sylhet BKSP. They built the academy here so we couldn’t do the renovation work for a long time. When they handed over Sylhet BKSP to us in 2016, we took the initiative to reshape it. Following this, the newly constructed academic building and synthetic football field of Sylhet BKSP was inaugurated today at a cost of around Tk. 20 crore.
The development of the academy does not stop here. The state minister for youth and sports said, ” We have plans to expand it soon. We will build a swimming pool and gymnasium here. We have dedicated Sylhet for football. ‘
These facilities have been constructed at a cost of around Tk 20 crore under the project titled Development of BKSP Regional Training Center Sylhet of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. BKSP Director General AKM Mazharul Haque presided over the function and Youth and Sports Secretary Mezbah Uddin was present as the special guest.
