Russia has bombed a school in eastern Ukraine. At least 60 people are missing in the burning school rubble
According to Qatar-based media outlet Al-Jazeera and the news agency Reuters, those missing are feared dead.
“Russian forces bombed the school,” Luhansk Governor Serhiy Haidai said on Sunday, the report said. It has been reported that two people were killed.
He added that 30 more civilians had been evacuated from the rubble.
The school, located in the village of Belohorivka, housed about 90 people. The fire engulfed the building after Saturday’s attack.
Haidai said, “After about four hours, the fire was brought under control. The rubble is then cleared. Unfortunately, two bodies were found.
Haidai added that 30 people had been rescued from the rubble. Seven of them were injured.
The remaining 70 people are believed to have died under the rubble of the building. However, Al Jazeera could not immediately verify the veracity of the statement.
