He was speaking to thousands of Russian troops gathered in the capital’s Red Square on Monday. Russia celebrates Victory Day to commemorate the defeat of German Nazis by Soviet forces in World War II. Monday was the 7th anniversary of that victory. A parade was organized in Red Square on this occasion.

This information was given in a live update given by Qatar-based media Al-Jazeera about the Ukraine war.

Addressing Russian troops, Putin said that Russian forces were fighting “Nazism” in Ukraine and that it was important to do everything possible. So the horrors of World War II will never happen again.
