US President Joe Biden and Jordan’s King Abdullah have spoken out against the violence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
On Monday, the two leaders discussed in detail ways to reduce violence in Israel and Palestine, the White House said. News Al-Arabiya.
A statement from the White House said, “We welcome the recent move to reduce tensions and hope that the last week of Ramadan will pass peacefully. He also stressed the need to maintain stability in the Haram al-Sharif, or Temple Mount. The US president also acknowledged Jordan’s role as guardian of Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem.
The White House said in a statement that the King of Jordan had informed him of his recent activities in the region. Biden reiterated the US commitment to Middle East and regional stability.

King Abdullah is expected to visit Washington next week. Earlier last year, he was the first Arab leader to visit the White House under Biden.
