In a speech at the White House on Thursday, Biden called on Congress to approve the bill. It was difficult for US lawmakers to approve the bill. This will be useful in the defense of Ukraine.
The big package announced by Biden includes 20 billion in the military sector, 1.5 billion in the economic sector and 3 billion in humanitarian aid.
Noting that it was not cheap, Biden said in a statement on Thursday that “if the aggression does not stop, we will pay more.”
The U.S. president says the amount of military aid the United States has provided to Ukraine so far is equivalent to providing 10 anti-tank weapons for every Russian tank stationed there.
Meanwhile, a Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Thursday that Western military support for Ukraine was a threat to the security of the entire continent.
Meanwhile, some shipments of military aid from the United States have arrived in Ukraine.
