Starting the third day after trailing by 112 runs on Saturday, Bangladesh lost 4 wickets in the morning session – Nazmul Hossain (18), Muminul Haque (4), Liton Das (18) and Mahmudul Hasan Joy (42). At one stage, Bangladesh’s innings was in danger of losing.However, Shakib and Nurul did not allow that to happen. The Tigers took the lead with their bat. Shakib and Sohan’s fighting duo had all the hopes of Bangladesh. This is the last pair of recognized batsmen in the team. Caribbean fast bowler Kemar Roach finally broke the century pairing. The pair made 231 balls was 123 runs. Shakib was out for 63 runs.
Sohan could not stay for long after that. Roach also took this wicket. He played an innings of 84 runs. After his dismissal, the game kind of ended. Later, Ebadat (1), Mustafiz (8) and Khaled (0) could not lengthen the innings.
