When it comes to pushing 5G, Huawei is one of the most well-known firms. The country’s leading telcos are gradually deploying 5G in some places. After Huawei’s Mate and P Series Smartphones, the Huawei NOVA Series is the most anticipated series of Smartphones to be released by the company. Huawei’s top-tier flagship series are the Mate and P Series.

Huawei, on the other hand, does not disappoint its clients who cannot buy the Flagship Series. Huawei launches Nova Series Smartphones for those who wish to get a taste of the flagship series. This time, the tech company has delivered a flagship device, the Huawei Nova 7 5G, to a larger audience.

The Huawei nova 7 5G is a mid-range 5G-ready that followed the nova 7 SE 5G. This is the seventh 5G-ready handset in total. It’s a high-end mid-range device featuring a 3D curved glass body, an OLED display, a new-generation processor with a built-in 5G modem, powerful overall specs, rapid charging speeds, and high-resolution cameras.

Let’s take a look at the features of the Huawei Nova 7 5G.

Design

In terms of design, it is one of the most fashionable phones available for the price. Buyers in the Philippines would be able to select between Space Silver and Midsummer Purple. The Nova 7 5G appears to be a high-end device from the start. It has the same 3D glass back as the Nova 7 SE 5G, which changes colours when adjusted in different lighting conditions.

The display is 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED Full View with a punch-hole front camera on the upper left. You can also locate its in-display fingerprint scanner here. A loudspeaker, primary microphone, Type-C port, and dual-nano SIM tray are located at the bottom.

Performance

A 5G Kirin 985 processor powers the Nova 7. It is theoretically slower than the Kirin 980, but it supports 5G. In games like Asphalt and Call of Duty, you won’t notice any lags or frame dips, and it supports high graphics just as the P30 and P30 Pro. So, if you’re a regular player, you won’t have any problems playing games on your Nova 7.

The nova 7 5G’s battery has a capacity of 4,000mAh and supports 40W SuperCharge. The tablet performed admirably in the PCMark battery test, clocking in at 18 hours and 1 minute. Charging the gadget from 0 to full 100 takes about an hour to an hour and a half.

Display

The Nova 7 5G features a massive 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED Full View display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The screen is colourful and sharp, as one would expect from an OLED panel. It boasts outstanding colour reproduction and viewing angles. Even in direct sunlight, it is plenty bright. You may also customise the colour modes and temperature to your preference. If you want to save battery life, you can reduce the resolution to 720p.

User Interface

The Nova 7 5G comes pre-installed with EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10. To name a few features, the device includes Dark Mode, Phone Clone, Huawei Assistant, One-handed mode, and Ride mode. It includes some bloatware as well as Huawei’s proprietary programmes such as Optimizer, Huawei Share, and PrivateSpace. Gestures can be used to navigate, and an app drawer is available if desired. You can use its infrared blaster.
