The Pixel 7 Pro latest Smartphone, is one of the great hopes for the high-end in 2022. On paper, it has everything, but at a lower price than its most direct competition. A super high-end for less than 1,000 euros, with one of the best cameras on the market and a commitment to software that is difficult to improve on Android. It paints well, but, as always, it is necessary to test thoroughly in case the paper is deceptive.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro buy bd passes through our analysis table, one of the most special phones of the year, and proof that it is possible to have an excellent experience (small spoiler) without having to shoot the budget above 1,000 euros. Let’s break down what it offers.

Design: with personality, for better and for worse

With the latest smartphone, Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro, Google introduced a new design line for its Pixels. The camera became more of a protagonist than ever, thanks to a huge vertical strip that hid the camera sensors. This strip, black in all its versions, matched quite well with the terminal’s own colors. Likewise, it was quite sturdy and not too dirty.

This year, the Pixel 7 Pro repeats with glass on the back, but the module becomes brushed aluminum (matte in the case of the Pixel 7).

It gets dirty very easily, it is easy to micro-scratch (the mobile does not come with a cover and, just by placing it on a table, we can scratch the module), and the feeling is less premium than last year.

It still has a unique personality, but I was more convinced by last year’s solution. The back gets quite dirty (although the white helps a bit to hide the fingerprints), and it is once again a rather slippery mobile, like last year.

The position of the button panel is also different from what we are used to seeing on Android. In the middle part of the right side, just where the thumb rests, we have the volume button. The rather small unlock button is located a bit higher up, making it difficult to reach again.

With a few days of use, you get used to it without the slightest problem, but I would have liked an inverted button panel with the unlock button in a slightly lower position. What I don’t quite get used to is that the buttons dance slightly. In a terminal of this price, the auction could be somewhat better.

Flipping it over, there are a few changes from the previous model. There is no longer such a pronounced curve, but a panel with a somewhat pronounced 2.5D. It is not quite a flat panel, but the curve is less annoying than in the previous generation.

The frontal use is practically identical, and the only step back that I have noticed is that the reduction between the frame and the screen is quite noticeable. This was not the case last year and added to the list of small steps backward in design. With a case that covers the edges, there will be no problem with this; everything is said.

It is still a very large mobile, although it cuts a few millimeters in height and width compared to the previous model. The Pixel 7 Pro is a premium mobile, despite its imperfections, and it still has a lot of personalities.

Screen: a good multimedia sensation

The panel specifications are practically traced to what we saw last year. We are talking about 6.7 inches, with Quad HD + resolution and an adaptive refresh rate between 10 and 120 Hz (LTPO).

Here it is important to note that the phone comes configured in Full HD + when we take it out of the box. Going to Quad HD+ does not have a major impact on autonomy, so I recommend taking advantage of the resolution for which this panel was born.
