You have to be ready for it and willing to work hard. Hakeem Masoud, a 21-year-old from Queens, New York, has embarked on a journey to spread positivity and assist people through his content on TikTok.
A Positive Attitude Attracts Positive Outcomes
Hakeem Masoud is a history and science zealot, constantly learning new things and expanding his knowledge. He has always wanted to be a content creator because he enjoys making others laugh and strives to influence others positively. He has been in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for almost four years. He will receive his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in 2024 from Louisiana State University. Then he’ll go to graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. He wanted to be a biochemist because his aunt Yolanda died at 56 from lung cancer when he was in seventh grade. As a result, he now wishes to assist everyone in need and, one day, hopefully, find a cure for cancer and start his charity to combat the disease.
Life Is Not a Bed of Roses
For Hakeem, life was not blooming as he didn’t have a father figure. From age 5 to 13, Hakeem was abused in every way or form by his father and stepmother. Afterward, his mom raised him as a single parent and struggled a lot to give Hakeem the future that every child deserves. Hakeem’s whole motivation has been driven by his mother, girlfriend Maria, and grandparents. Hakeem’s future ambition revolves around becoming the best supportive and incredible father to his child, a successful biochemist, and a successful Tik Toker. Hakeem wants to promote positive change in the world one day.
“If I can brighten another person’s day even if I’m having a bad day myself, by me just brightening other people’s day, that makes me feel better as well and letting them know “like hey I see you, and you’re not in this alone.”
Never Underestimate a Dreamer
Hakeem Masoud creates comedic content, skits, tv show reviews, and insight lessons. He usually posts his videos early in the morning, at around 6 or 7 am, so everyone can see them. The one video that changed everything for him was this tv show review he did on an episode of hoarders in which a mother admits to resenting her three kids. Seeing that made him make that video so he could connect with all those who went through similar experiences to show them that they are not alone and that comeback is always more potent than a setback. TikTok has provided Hakeem the platform to showcase himself and be a positive role model for children and teens.
