Even though YouTube doesn’t position itself as a platform “for adults”, but there can sometimes be videos there that, in the opinion of the administration, are inappropriate for underage users. Basically these are videos with foul language, some violence etc. If an unregistered user comes across a video that the platform has marked as ” for adults”, he won’t be able to watch it, as a corresponding message will appear, but it can be easily bypassed.

How to watch videos with age restrictions on YouTube
Age verification comes with registering a Google account, where the process includes your date of birth. Unfortunately, it’s now difficult to just enter your date of birth once and change it all you want, so if you initially indicated that you’re under 18, you’ll have to document the date change in your profile.
Fortunately, no one can see your information except Google administration. At Lowcostsmm – https://lowcostsmm.com you can promote your YouTube channel quickly and cheaply. To confirm your date of birth, you need to upload a scan of a document proving your age for Google’s verification. This can be a passport, driver’s license, or some other type of document, such as an ID card, if your country has one.
If “just log in to your Google Account” doesn’t work for you, you can use some of our alternatives.
Option 1: Change your video URL
You can change the default appearance of the link to the YouTube video so that it bypasses the service checks. This is a fairly simple way, but not always effective, plus it has some costs, such as incorrect operation of the player’s control interface. Plus, the video may simply not play, because you will see an error with the number 404.
In any case, you should try it. For example, take the link to the official trailer of the game GTA VI, which is labeled 18+. The unchanged link to the video looks like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=mQ6lJcL8Ggo
You need to make the following changes to the link for the video to bypass the YouTube checks:
- Remove “watch?”;
- Replace the “=” sign with “/”.
After this change, the link will look like this:
youtube.com/v/mQ6lJcL8Ggo
Try this method. However, it doesn’t guarantee the result as Google updates its algorithms from time to time, so it might not work for some videos.
Option 2: Use NSFWYouTube
This site is sort of like a mirror of YouTube, with which you can watch almost any video, including those from the 18+ category. They are automatically duplicated on it. It looks very different from YouTube in design and functionality, but you can get access to absolutely any video without having to register and prove your age.
The process of working with this service is largely similar to the option discussed above. You will also have to change the link to the video, but it will play with a higher probability and all the necessary elements of the control interface will be available there.
For example, we have the same link to the GTA VI trailer with the 18+ restriction:
youtube.com/watch?v=mQ6lJcL8Ggo
In front of YouTube you need to add “nsfw” without quotation marks. As a result, you will get a link of this form:
nsfwyoutube.com/watch?v=mQ6lJcL8Ggo
This option already plays all the videos without problems.
Option 3: Create an alternative account
The first time you sign up for a Google account, you’re not required to prove your age with documentation, plus you don’t have to use your phone number to register an additional account.
The instructions for this option are as follows:
- Log out of your current Google account. You can do this by clicking on the thumbnail of your main photo in your profile. From the menu that pops up, select the “Sign Out” option and confirm your exit. Subscribers, views and likes for YouTube and Instagram are inexpensive. See for yourself at captainsmm at https://captainsmm.com.
- Now move on to creating a new Google account. To do this, use the appropriate button under the login field.
- The questionnaire for creating a new Google profile will open. Fill it out. There is nothing complicated here: you need to enter your first and last name, come up with a username, a password, and confirm the password. It is not necessary to use personal information.
- Now you need to fill in personal information about yourself. You do not have to fill in the phone number and backup email address, but it is recommended. Be sure to include your date of birth so that you are over 18.
- When you are finished filling out your personal information, read the privacy agreement and accept it. This completes the registration of your new account.
- You’ll then be able to use this account to watch videos that YouTube has categorized as 18+. The service itself won’t require any additional verification of your identity unless you’re being suspiciously active or breaking community rules.
If you need to constantly watch videos that YouTube sets an age limit for, we recommend considering only the third option from the article, because constantly changing video links will quickly get boring.
