If you want to login into the UAN portal for the first time then you will need an activated Universal Account Number. The Universal account number that is UAN is a number that is given to the PF account holder. This number remains the same even if you switch from one organization to another. Therefore, in order to make the UAN Login for the first time, you will have to go through the UAN registration process and then the UAN Activation Process. Here, you can see both the processes if you are logging in for the first time.
Steps for UAN Registration
You can follow the steps given below to make the UAN registration. After the UAN Registration, you can move on to the UAN activation process.
- Visit the EPF Member Portal on your computer system.
- Expand the Service Tab in the Tabs Present on the Top and it will be available on the top left side.
- Then click on the ‘For Employee’ option after expanding the tab.
- Now click on the ‘Member UAN/Online service (OCS/OTCP) link.
- This link is available under the Service Head.
- Now, you can see the Employee Login Portal Page in front of you.
- Then on the same page move to the Important links column on the right side corner.
- Click on the ‘Know your UAN’ option in the same header.
- Then enter your registered mobile number. .
- Enter the given Captcha and then click on the ‘Request OTP’ option.
- Then you will receive an OTP on the phone number that you have entered recently.
- Then enter the PIN to verify your request
- Click on the ‘Validate OTP’ option given below.
- Eventually, your UAN will be generated.
- Finally, you will have to create a username and a Password for the UAN Portal.
- Now you can make the UAN login through the UAN and the Password.
After completing the UAN registration process, you will have to go through the UAN Activation process.
Steps for UAN Activation
- Visit EPFO’s official website on your PC or Laptop.
- Then, stretch the Service Tab among the Tabs Present on the Top.
- After expanding the service tab, click on the ‘For Employees’ option.
- Now. make a click on the ‘Member UAN/Online service (OCS/OTCP)’ option that will appear under the Service Head.
- Then you can see the Employee Login Portal in front of you.
- On the same page click on the Activate UAN option.
- This option is available under the Important links column in the right side corner.
- Now you will be redirected to another page.
- Here you will have to enter
- UAN Member I.D
- Pan Card
- Aadhaar card details (any of them)
- Then provide your Name, DOB, Mobile Number, and Email ID and enter the given Captcha shown in the box.
- Then you will have to click on the ‘Get Authorization PIN’ link.
- Then hit the ‘I Agree’ Checkbox and enter the OTP you have received on your registered mobile number.
- In the end, you will get your UAN number with the password.
- Now your UAN activation process is completed and you can access the EPFO portal.
