The smallest traveler in the world has visited 70 cities on all continents since 2012. The Happy Skyscraper, a symbol of the Party of Good Humor, has already visited Japan twice. He also had the opportunity to see the Japanese city of Hamamatsu
Hamamatsu in Japan
Hamamatsu is a city of 800,000 in the central part of the island of Honshu. It lies on the Pacific Ocean and is the largest city in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is 260 kilometers from here to Tokyo. The town has several hundred years of history, and Hamamatsu was granted city rights only in 1911.
The tallest building in Hamamatsu is the 45-story Act City Hamamatsu office building. It is 213 meters high. It is no coincidence that this building, built in 1994, resembles a harmonica, a musical instrument. Inside are the headquarters of music companies: Yamaha, Roland, Kawai and Tokai. It is also the seat of the Shizuoka prefectural government. From the observation deck located on top of the skyscraper, you can watch the panorama of the city.
Hamamatsu and Fryderyk Chopin
Since 1990, Hamamatsu has been a twin city of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. So it is not surprising that next to the building of the Hamamatsu city authorities there is a statue of the famous Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin. It is a copy of the Fryderyk Chopin monument in Warsaw. We would like to add that since 1991, the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition has been held every November in Hamamatsu.
It is worth knowing that a railway line runs through the city center, through which super-fast shinkansen trains run. Since there is no subway in Hamamatsu, unlike other large cities in Japan (for example, Tokyo), there are more cars on the streets.
HappySkyscraper in Hamamatsu
Recently, Hamamatsu visited the Happy Skyscraper. It is a symbol of an international organization called the Good Humor Party. Members of the organization founded in Poland in 2001 want people in the world to be happy and smile more often. This is why the traveler made of paper is photographed in different parts of the world. Anyone can download its pattern from the Internet, glue it together and photograph it. And then become a member of the Good Humor Party, whose dues are 3 smiles a day!
Among the members of the organization are satirists and caricaturists from many countries of the world. But also people who are optimistic and like to smile. Regardless of where they live, how old they are, what profession and skin color they have. The Good Humor Party is a frivolous organization founded by Szczepan Sadurski. He is a Polish satirist and caricaturist, called one of the fastest caricaturists in the world. It takes only 100 seconds to draw one cheerful portrait.
