The pressure of homebound people has increased in the last few days on Eid in 21 districts of southwestern Paturia of Manikganj. Although there was extra traffic pressure on Wednesday morning, it started decreasing in the afternoon.

The ghat authorities claim that the pressure has been reduced due to uninterrupted ferry service and crossing of passenger buses and small vehicles on priority basis.
At BWTC’s Aricha office, DGM Mohammad Khalid Nawaz told Kaler Kanth that at least 1,500 small vehicles were able to cross Paturia’s Ghat No. 5 by noon. And the bus-truck match will be 300 in Surrey. About 45 small cars are crossing at one time in a big ferry. As the day progressed, I was able to reduce the pressure by passing the vehicles on the ferry at a faster time.
He also remarked that the BIWTC wharf was not suffering due to proper management. It is learned that out of 21 small and big ferries, 19 ferries are plying on the route.
