Traditionally, the trade-off with a super-lightweight pair of headphones has been a lack of durability. Not to mention, a fairly disappointing all-around performance in some instances.

All of which Pioneer DJ claims to have sidestepped with the company’s all-new HDJ-CX DJ headphones. Along with being exceptionally lightweight – just 160 g without the cable – the HDJ-CX headphones are also said to have passed the “US Military Standard MIL-STD-810H Shock test”.

Coupled with outstanding sound quality and a hugely competitive price tag, the HDJ-CX headphones could well be the total package.

According to Pioneer DJ, the HDJ-CX has been designed to be so comfortable you won’t even notice you’re wearing them.

An extract from the HDJ-CX launch blurb from Pioneer DJ:

“These brand-new super-lightweight professional on-ear DJ headphones are so lightweight you might forget you’re wearing them. Specially designed for absolute comfort and tuned to deliver outstanding sound quality for mixing and monitoring music, they’re also built to last.”

“The HDJ-CX professional on-ear DJ headphones are specially designed to minimize stress to your neck and body while helping you maximize your potential for artistic expression through today’s dance music.

“With a minimalist but strong design, and tight, wide-ranging audio, the concept is quite different from the HDJ-X Series headphones, which produce a more spacious sound and feature a chunkier construction. The HDJ-CX model offers you a special experience which could even change your style of DJing.”
