REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD GROW YOUR FRESH FOOD

Along with water and shelter, you need food to survive. And with that, you become dependent on other people to grow your food from the companies that make your food. If you haven’t taken the time to learn how to grow your food, then you have no idea what’s so important in your life because you can’t feed yourself and your family on your own.

There are, of course, various “pranic-eating” or “sun-eating,” whose adherents do not need food, but this does not seem to be a real solution to this issue yet, so grow your food, and gain strength. Don’t be ignored. You can learn, and many can help you with this. This article will explain why you should grow your food instead of getting them from a grocery store.

Why should I grow my food?

More and more people are enjoying growing their food. Anyone who sows food themselves or buys young plants in stores should opt for food that can add value. The following discusses the benefits of why you should grow your food.

Health

There is no healthier food on the planet than the food you grow yourself. This growth may be at home, in your backyard, country house, forest garden, or wherever. Why?

First, when you grow your own, you don’t spray pesticides. You don’t put unnecessary chemicals into the soil. You are careful about the fertilizers you use. You fertilize with compost or whatever you think is right, supplying your soil with essential minerals.

Secondly, you collect your food to eat it later immediately. Studies show that 24 hours after harvest, 50% of the beneficial properties of plants are lost. And most people have no idea about the benefits of those lost properties.

Savings.

Gardening saves you money. We regularly hear news about rising food prices due to weather disasters or political changes. An increase in the price of vegetables entails an increase in the price of meat, and so on.

Why not grow some of your produce at home? The same greens can quickly grow in the kitchen all year round, but you buy them in the supermarket for 2-3 dollars per pack. For this money, one could have purchased a growing container and seeds for a long time and started growing buckwheat or wheat or seasoning greens almost for free. There are a vast number of options!

Taste.

Taste is a huge reason many people (myself included) grow their food. Many people may not care about health, the environment, or saving money. But what they care about is the taste.

If you’ve ever tasted a homemade tomato and compared it to a tomato you bought in the store, you know there’s no comparison! Now imagine that everything can be such that such a difference will not only be in tomatoes.

Pride.

Another benefit of growing your food is the pride of ownership, or more accurately, the pride of growing. When you take care of your car – fix the brakes, change the oil or fluid in the transmission, adjust something. Then when you drive this car, you feel it is entirely different. You feel like it rides better. And you say to yourself: “Yes, I’m in my car! Look at me!”

The same thing happens when you produce something yourself, for example, grow vegetables. You feel like you are a part of it, what you have produced with your own hands, and what you have grown. You feel proud that you can grow something.

So, making your food can significantly help improve self-esteem. I’m not going to suggest that growing vegetables can solve all self-esteem problems. But it certainly can help a lot.

Investments.

And the last reason for growing your food is this: growing your food is the best investment you can make on this planet. When you invest your money in stocks, you always depend on this market. It may rise or fall, making you go broke when it falls and against your prediction. But by investing in cultivation, you always win. Why? The reasons you always win are the eleven reasons I listed above: you will be healthier, save the planet, and more.

You can sell the surplus and thus return the investment. You can save seeds. You know, a dozen seeds sometimes cost a couple of dollars. And your plant produces thousands of seeds. Is it not that great? Invest in the future of the planet, in the future of children, in your future! Keep growing!
