The wait for REET notification is finally over for those looking to appear for the REET 2022 examination. The council released the notification on its official website on 12th April 2022.
The Board of School Education Rajasthan has invited online applications from candidates who are interested in appearing for the REET exam. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 23rd July and 24th July 2022. If you’re interested in becoming a teacher in schools across the state of Rajasthan, you need to fill out the form. What is REET 2022?
Candidates passing the REET exam become eligible to be appointed as Government school teachers, Govt.-aided Private school teachers, and even private school teachers in Rajasthan.
The exam is conducted in two stages-
- Level 1- For classes 1 to 5
- Level 2- For classes 6 to 8
You can appear for any of them or both, subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria for REET 2022
Level 1
Passed 12th standard with at least 50 % score and two years Diploma in Elementary Education or Diploma in Education or B.El.ED.
Level 2
Completed graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed or 12th with four years B.Ed or B.El.Ed after 12th class.
The minimum age for both levels of the REET exam is 18 years. At the same time, there is no maximum age to apply.
How to apply for REET 2022?
- Visit the REET official website to download the REET notification and read it in detail.
- Look for the “Apply Online for REET 2022” link on the official website.
- Just like any other online exam form, fill it with your details.
- Upload the asked documents such as photo, signature, etc.
- Submit it.
- An application number gets generated. Please keep it for future use.
Selection for REET 2022
The council will conduct the exam in offline mode with 150 questions on every paper. So if you fill up the form for both levels, you will need to appear in both the papers. Every correct answer is worth one mark. The total exam duration is 2 hrs and 30 minutes.
There is no provision for negative marking, so try to answer as many questions as possible.
Expected cut-off score for REET 2022
As the REET notification was out recently, it is not possible to guess the cut-off score with 100% accuracy. However, considering the previous year’s cut-off score, you will get some insights about this year’s expected cut-off:
- General category- 130
- EWS- 124
- OBC-127
- MBC- 122
- SC- 119
- ST- 110
Both Level 1 and Level 2 exams have the same passing marks individually. Please note further sub-categorisation such as widow, divorced female, etc., for different cut-off scores. But if you aim to score the maximum cut-off marks, which is 130, there is a high chance of scoring well in the REET 2022 exam.
What’s next after REET 2022?
Once the exam is conducted, the council releases the results within three months. If you pass it, you get a certification within weeks after the results. The certificate remains valid for a lifetime.
