Kiev has previously accused Russia of attacking railway infrastructure to disrupt the supply of foreign military equipment to Ukraine. Russia has acknowledged Ukraine’s allegations, according to a Reuters report.
Reuters quoted a statement from Russia’s Defense Ministry as saying that Russian missiles had destroyed six railway installations. The Russian Defense Ministry said the six railway installations were being used to supply weapons to Ukrainian forces from abroad.
Earlier, Ukrainian officials said five railway stations in central and western Ukraine were attacked within an hour on Monday morning, local time. They also said that five people were killed in those attacks.
Ukraine also said a power substation supplying electricity to the overhead line in Krasnodar near Lviv was damaged in a missile attack.
