To me, it’s been a long but very rewarding journey that has really boosted my personal SEO skills. I have learned from experience just how important personal search engine optimization lessons are for those who want to get ahead in their industry or just stay on top of their game. And the best part is you don’t need any qualifications or certification to get started! You just need your own initiative and willingness to learn new things every day – all while applying your current knowledge of marketing techniques in order to get results fast. I’ve outlined some personal search engine optimization lessons below that will be helpful for anyone looking to start out as an SEO expert.


Start with a 3-month plan
The goal here is not just to get your site ranked, but rather to grow it. But in order for traffic to happen, your site needs organic rankings. And getting those rankings can be tricky without an effective SEO strategy.
1) Investigate What Other Highly Ranked Sites are Doing – Start by analyzing the top sites in your niche and their methods for search engine optimization. Pay close attention to how they use keywords, meta tags, backlinks, content creation, and many other factors. 2) Set Goals – Be realistic about what you want to accomplish with your ranking strategy in 3 months’ time. Setting short-term goals will help motivate you on a day-to-day basis and also help you maintain a sense of accomplishment as the weeks go by.

Include Keywords in Your Title Tag
In our last blog post, we talked about how many people in your target market may be using Google as their primary search engine. With that in mind, it’s vital for small businesses like yours to be optimized for Google so your site will show up first when these people are searching for you. But even if you’re one of the lucky ones who has an easier time appearing higher on search results pages, there are a few more SEO tips and tricks that can help boost your website rankings. If you’re going to write an original piece of content, then include keywords within the title tag. When done correctly, this will increase your ranking because search engines can easily identify what type of content is being displayed based on the words used in the title tag. Be careful not to overuse keywords because this could lead to being penalized by some search engines.

Write at least 500+ words per article

2. Honestly, this is because for over 10 years now I’ve been making sure that every single thing I write and say online is as professional as possible. 3. As an entrepreneur, it’s important to me that potential clients feel they can trust me before they hire me and I know that what people see when they google me goes a long way in determining whether or not they’ll want to work with me. 4. In order to stay at the top of the rankings, it’s necessary for me to make sure that all articles are 500 words or more because most search engine algorithms will only count about 1000 words per page.

Create High Quality Backlinks to Your Site
While there are many ways to build quality backlinks, I’ve found that posting relevant articles on my blog, guest blogging for other industry leaders, and engaging with readers through social media has been the most effective way for me. Plus, it’s less work than submitting my content onto sites like Reddit or StumbleUpon where it can get lost in spam. One downside is how time-consuming this process can be – each month, I have to update at least 20 posts, write 10 new posts and engage with people all day long. However, if you have a successful blog then this is really a worthwhile investment because as more people come to your site you’ll be able to offer more opportunities for them to connect with you.
