Trying To Calculate Shiba Inu’s Circulating Supply

Trying To Calculate Shiba Inu's Circulating Supply

For now, the only value that we can consider as approximate to the true amount of SHIBs is the Coin Market Cap: 549,095,509,738,353. However, this value is not up to date. We know that the real figure is close to that number, but it is not possible that this is the real value if there is indeed a SHIB burning mechanism.

I have been seeing that value in CMC for several days and it is not changing. I assume that since the Shiba team does not provide the real value, they try to estimate it using some algorithm for it. Knowing a little about the ups and downs of a website administration, I can tell you that this value is possibly updated from time to time, since it would be very demanding to keep it updated in real time. Not even the project administrator has been able to do it, how can CMC be asked to do it? It is absurd to think that the blame for this whole situation lies with a website that is dedicated to showing figures from the Crypto experts markets.

Searching the internet I noticed a website called Etherscan that shows a Shiba Inu Max Total Supply value, which apparently updates every 8 hours. This site shows the transactions that are made in Ethereum, which in the end is the algorithm that Shiba Inu is based on. Information can be found at this link.

On this website they tell you that the project manager must provide the information about the token burn, but apparently the Shiba Inu CEO still believes that this is the responsibility of CMC. The joke tells itself.

Anyway, that number changes every 8 hours. I took the time to make a Java script that every so often checks this number and saves it in a database. This page also displays a Circulating Supply value that is updated every 8 hours.

At the time of writing this post, this is the value displayed

We have already done the calculations for 96 million units per day and they were not very encouraging. I think it is not worth doing the calculations again for 5 million. This calculation could be totally wrong, but since we do not have a clear idea of the real amount of coins available, this is our only option until the day the Shiba Inu team takes responsibility for your project.

The updated information day after day about the Shiba Inu burned tokens can be found in the burned tokens counter, a tool designed by ourselves to keep an updated record of this process.

Conclusions

I remind everyone that I am not an expert on this subject and that the information shown here is my personal point of view based on the data that I have exposed in this article. Nothing that I have stated here should be used as the rationale for making a financial decision. In the end you decide where and how you invest your money and nothing I say here should become the reason why you make your decisions. That said, having studied the Shiba numbers, it follows that:

No, you will not become a millionaire with Shiba Inu. At least it won’t happen considering current conditions.

The Shiba Inu project represents a great opportunity to make money in the short term, but in the long term the outlook does not look very promising. I am not an expert on this subject, but I believe that Shiba will be able to reach 0.0001 and even 0.001 in a few years as long as people do not lose interest in the project.

The Shiba Inu technical team will have to prove that they are capable of taking this project to the next level. So far they haven’t shown much capability on a technical level and Shiba remains without clear utility in the growing world of cryptocurrency-based technology.

I confess that it would be a great relief for me to be totally wrong about what I have expressed in this post. I hope that in a few years I will have to write another article regretting having written this one while having a piña colada in the pool of the mansion that I bought with the profits from my investment in Shiba Inu. Believe me I will be happy to retract.
