Hey guys, today we’re looking at Video Creator, the new platform everyone is buzzing about online. I paid for the commercial licence of a video creator with my own money. As always, I’m gonna give you my honest thoughts about it and take you behind the paywall.
So here we are in video creator. This is what the app looks like when you first log in. This here is Mr. Paul Panna, who created this product and many others. I don’t know much about Paul except that he became like a digital marketing whiz at the age of 16 or something. What was I doing at 16? We won’t talk about that. But anyway, he’s kind of a big brand name, which is why I think a lot of people are excited about this product but we don’t need to worry about him Let’s go on up to here to create a video and let me just show you what the video creator interface looks like You’ve got all of these templates that come with video creator, and so you can either like dive into this whole huge group of them or you can sort them more easily here on the left side of the screen
So there are video flip books, there are live action videos, neon signs, I mean there’s a lot in here. One thing I saw that the video creator had that I really liked was these Facebook cover videos. That’s like super handy since you can have cover videos on Facebook but when you click on it, there’s not really that many. There’s 10 different ones This one you might be interested in. It’s called Scroll Stopper. You may have been seeing a lot of these. They’ve become really popular. I did do a review on another product called Breakout.
I know that create studio is offering these kinds of templates as well, so in my opinion, they do this whole thing better and I know that you could probably get ones that are a little bit better on other platforms. Moving on, there’s another one called motion tracking videos and if you want to preview any of these, just hit the quick preview button. I’m just going to hit the next button and these are the background images for these shots with these guys. That’s very interesting to me. Interesting, interesting. I’m going to leave these backgrounds as is, but I’m going to add my logo because the logo shows up on one of the guys’ shirts. Let’s head over to text. I’m not going to go through the whole script here. I’m just going to change the first line just as a demonstration. Let’s hit font and there are a lot of fonts that come with video create. I have to say I love seeing this.
Okay, and the other thing I’m going to do is change this text here, which is going to change the lettering on this building. One thing I’m noticing about these fonts is that a lot of these fonts I’ve never heard of and some basic fonts and fonts that I consider basic are not included in the fonts. For instance, century gothic, which is one I would use for like plum productions branding, is not included in these fonts. To me that’s a very basic font, so it may not be important to you, but if you’re someone that’s a real stickler for matching fonts that might be a little bit problematic all right
I’m just going to make them all purple for our brand. I like that you can type in a hex code or an rgb code or use this whole colour wheel situation to get any colour you want, but I’m going to stick with the pre-selected swatches for now.In the meantime, let’s head on over to marketing commercials and here’s one for video agency. All right, I’m gonna go to the video one, obviously, because that’s related to me. Let’s do a quick preview and see what this looks like online. Should you have one or not? Well, clearly and concisely, yes you definitely should and it really doesn’t matter if you’re a freelancer, small business or multinational corporate, I’m just going to use this template all right. So actually, I’m kind of confused because there’s very little customization I can do with this template.
I just have image and text. I’m just going to proceed. All right, this one is still processing. We’re at about three minutes here. Let’s keep moving. Create video. Let’s find something else here. Here’s one that I really like. I like all the motion and stuff on it. It says midnight sale ecom promo. So I want to customise it but then I’m like I can’t remember all the elements in it. Everything happened so fast. So I’m kind of flying blind here in the customise window, which kind of makes it tough. For images, you can upload your own images or you can search pixabay, pexels, or jump story, which are all free. All right let’s use this. It’s kind of a cheap looking camera but that’s okay. We’ll hit select go to text. So my website Text Two. Now if I want to know what text this is, this helps me okay. This is kind of hard to interpret, so this is 80.
