After going through ownership changes, WhatsApp has rolled out one of its biggest features for users using the beta version of the app. WhatsApp’s latest update to the social media platform owned by Meta makes it possible for users to send a video message directly from the chatbox. Previously, users could only send quick audio messages if they didn’t feel like typing, but now with the latest update, users using the beta version of the app can send quick video messages. This feature is available for both iOS and Android.

WhatsApp has a huge history. After being founded in 2009, WhatsApp has come a long way in its line as an instant messaging application. Though it was never the first idea to make WhatsApp an instant messaging app, it slowly took off as an app to show contacts’ current statuses.

Eventually, it became instant messaging software. After going through lots of development, testing, processing, and crashes, WhatsApp has now launched the beta version 23.12.0.71 for iOS and the beta version 2.23.13.4 for Android. With successfully deploying the big feature update for the beta version, it is likely the same would be available to the stable version users of the application.

WhatsApp’s commitment to releasing features for everyone is commendable. WhatsApp is also expected to release the video messaging feature for everyone soon. Looking back, WhatsApp always responded by working quickly and releasing every feature on the platform for every user. Features like an edit button, hiding online presence on WhatsApp, hiding profile pictures from specific people, chat lock, multi-phone support, and more came out pretty quickly after its launch made only in the beta versions.

WhatsApp is the biggest instant messaging platform in the world right now, and almost everyone on the planet uses the platform. WhatsApp has made texting easy, and it also has internet calling and video calling facilities.

People can also make sure to express their emotions by adding emojis to the text. While every feature is available at the tip of the fingers, the video messaging feature is also expected to be easily accessible. Apart from accessible features and an easy messaging system, WhatsApp also provides end-to-end encryption on each chat. It means that the chats sent to and fro from a user stay between the sender and the receiver.

The video messaging will also work under the same encryption. Users sending a video message must know that the message will be end-to-end encrypted. While the feature is said to be similar to the audio message feature, its total duration is still unknown.

The instant audio messaging feature has a total duration beyond two minutes, but it’s hard to tell if video messages will take that long to record. As per the latest report, the video messages cannot be shared, but they can be screen recorded or can be recorded using another device.
