The United States has announced the day of Eid before seeing the moon in Saudi Arabia. The holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated simultaneously in different states of the country on Monday (May 2).

Eid Jamaat in New York: A large Eid-ul-Fitr congregation will be held on the grounds of Thomas Edison High School, 175th Street, at the initiative of Jamaica Muslim Center JMC. The congregation will be held in the open field at 9 o’clock in the morning. Governor Kathy Hokul has been invited to attend the ceremony before the prayers. He had earlier attended the JMC’s Eid prayers during his tenure as lieutenant governor. On April 21, he visited the JMC and spoke to the leaders there.
Four Eid congregations will be held at the Dar es Salaam Mosque in Jamaica. Prayers have been arranged for men as well as women. The first congregation of Eid will be held at 7 am, the second congregation at 8 am, the third congregation at 9 am and the fourth congregation at 10 am. Eid prayers will be held in the newly constructed building of Darussalam Mosque in a pleasant environment. Only men in the first congregation will take part in the prayers. Women will also be able to participate in the remaining three congregations. It is located at 146th Street in Jamaica.
Three Eid congregations will be held at the Al Amin Jame Mosque and Islamic Center in Astoria. The congregation will be held at 36th Street. The first congregation will be held at 7 am, the second congregation at 8 am and the third congregation at 9 am. In the third congregation, women will be able to take part in the prayers. If it rains, three congregations will be held inside the mosque.
On behalf of the mosque, it has been said that the participants of the prayers should bring masks and Jain prayers.
An Eid Jamaat will be held at 9 am on the grounds of Susan B. Anthony School at the initiative of Arafa Islamic Center. If it rains, four congregations will be held inside the mosque at 161 Street. There will be four congregations at seven, eight, nine and 10 in the morning. There will be special arrangements for women and children.
The first congregation of Eid will be at East Elmhurst Jame Mosque and Muslim Center at 9 am. It will be at PS127 School Playground. If it does not rain, congregation will be held in the open field and if it rains, two congregations will be held in the mosque. The first congregation will be at eight in the morning, the second congregation at nine in the morning.
Eid prayers have been organized at the initiative of New York Eidgah. Five Eid congregations will be held at the Diversity Plaza in Jackson Heights from 7am to 11pm. There will be first congregation at 7 am, second congregation at 8 am, third congregation at 9 am, fourth congregation at 10 am and last congregation at 11 pm.
