Russia celebrates Victory Day as the day of the defeat of the German Nazi forces at the hands of the then Soviet forces in World War II. Today is Monday, the 7th anniversary of that victory. On this occasion, a colorful parade was organized in the Red Square of the capital Moscow.
Thousands of troops took part in the parade. It showcases a variety of weapons, including tanks, rockets, and intercontinental ballistic missiles. Putin ended his speech with a victory cry with the assembled troops.
