Request the meeting ID from the host and join that meeting. If you’re the host, make sure the waiting room is turned on. If that’s the case, your attendees may need to be manually admitted before they can join your meeting.
Use one of the free internet services to check your network speeds. Zoom web portal requirements call for a minimum upload and download speed of 1.5 Mbps. Consult your internet service provider if necessary.

If you’re using a desktop or mobile device, make sure the Zoom client is up to date and installed. Zooming in on the version number
If you’ve gotten any of the following messages:
You have been placed on hold: You will be placed on hold until the host invites you into the meeting room.
This meeting’s room connector is disabled: This error will appear if you use videoconferencing equipment to join a meeting hosted by a free Zoom login account or an account that does not have the room connection enabled. Instead, join the conference via a desktop or mobile device.
Please wait till the host begins the meeting: The Join before host option is disabled, as the meeting’s host has not yet arrived. Emails are sent to hosts automatically inviting them to join. After the host joins the meeting, you will be prompted to join it.
Please enter the password for the meeting: A passcode is required for this meeting; input the passcode provided by the meeting host (in the Zoom meeting invitation). Contact the meeting host for help if you don’t know the passcode.
This meeting does not allow for phone calls: The host may have just permitted for VoIP audio. In this situation, dialing the Zoom teleconferencing number and entering the meeting ID will result in the above notice and the call will be disconnected. You’ll need a computer or a smartphone app to attend the conference.
