MAKERSCLAN is an early childhood learning tool. That aims to develop life-long learners by designing and delivering hands-on child-driven products, that promote 21st-century skills i.e critical thinking, creative problem solving, communication, creativity and cogent reasoning.
Founders Details :
Neeraj Kumar Singh: He has 20 years of experience in operations and customer support, procurement and production mostly in IT and education sector. Excellent ability to manage multiple departments.
Vivek Banra: Studied Master of Design from IIT Kanpur. He has 6+ years of experience in various design fields including 3 years in the education field. He has an itch for designing and creating new things and has a bent in art and science.
When and how did you start?
I (Neeraj Kumar Singh ) have worked in an IT company for a very long time. After that, I switched to Educational product through Wonderboxx. Where I also found my current co-founder, who is a young and enthusiastic designer from IIT Kanpur. While working we discussed the prospect of starting something together. So after a lot of careful thought, Market research we established our brand name Makersclan in 2018. That was just the start of the journey, finding the right ingredient was another.
We had earlier worked with the artisans of Nagina the woodcraft city. They have kept the art form alive since the Mughal era and their products are appreciated globally. So we thought of using their expertise in solving our problems and creating a sustainable eco-friendly environment for all.

As I (Neeraj Kumar Singh ) stay away from home, I long for quality time with my kids. Once While teaching my kids, I realized they know all the questions by heart, but when I cross-questioned them they were blank. It meant they had just crammed the answers without actually understanding. Schools teach them subjects like math, science, language, but there’s much more to learning. As we have entered the 21st century, the skills required today has also changed.
We cannot expect to teach the young generation through 19th-century methods alone. Teaching of the 21st-century skills is so very important to catch up in today’s competitive scenario. The skills like creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication cannot be taught by mere books. How can a child develop creativity, critical thinking and problem solving just by reading about it? To develop these skills there has to be a practical problem-solving. Which the researchers also confirm is best done when they are playing. Imagination is more important than knowledge : ~Einstein

India is a big country and a huge market place with a huge number of the customer base. The challenge is to reach to the right customer. The good part Is the Growing domestic market and buying capacity of Indians. There is a Rising Demand for innovation-driven high-end toys and games. Play way education through toys getting popularity in India.
There is a huge demand for toys in the teaching process under government schemes like ‘SarvaShikshaAbhiyan’. At the time when the world is looking for an alternative manufacturing hub in place of China. It is the perfect time for us in India to take full advantage of the situation. Hamleys getting acquired by Reliance has also brought investors to focus back on Kids toy market.
