“I am an engineer and a management graduate from ISB. An avid reader and an animal lover I was busy going through the grind in the corporate world. There was something I always wanted to do outside of this corporate world. The hectic work schedule and personal life commitments never gave me enough time to ponder on my inner calling.” , Says Shruti Jangid Co-Founder of NovyNest Preschool & Daycare.

What I really wanted clicked when I was searching a preschool for my nephew. All schools I visited seemed like business houses. More interested in taking money from the parent and not in imparting knowledge to the child. A few schools did talk about the learning part but it was the same conventional rote learning procedure followed by the school. The children are given instructions and they are expected to follow them 100%. The child who follows them fully is termed as the best student. It was more like a factory producing products with the same fixed instruction line. “one-size-fits-all” approach was followed in most of the preschools.
In this journey of teaching and learning, understanding and exploring were missing. This thought kept me occupied for a long and I realized that this is where I need to take a step forward. I wanted to have a customized education approach rather than commoditized.
” This is where the seed of ‘NOVY NEST’ was sown. It all started in the winters of 2016. Starting was not easy. First was to quit a well-paying job of a good company and then to convince my family. Family members had their share of concerns and queries, which were right as they were concerned and being protective about me. I had to convince them a lot as to how and why I want Novy Nest.
Nothing comes free in this world, arranging finances was another major challenge. My husband, Anshul agreed to be my partner in this venture. We together brainstormed the whole idea and created a company. Paperwork followed by intense marketing drive was all we did for many days.
All that followed is history now.
Finally “Novy Nest” is up and running and we are already two branches strong. Our first center is in Vaishali and the second one is operational in Noida”, Says Ms. Shruti Jangid.
A brief of what is “NOVY NEST”
Novy Nest is a preschool and a daycare which is based on the Reggio Emilia approach well blended with the play way method. The curriculum we follow is child led and child-centric. We let the child explore and experience a concept before the teacher guides him/her through the whole process systematically. The environment is a major key to this approach. Open spaces, natural materials and free from clutter work areas are the highlight of the infrastructure. We use international quality books, content and learning aids.

Safety and security are treated as a priority here. CCTV live feed is available to the parents. Safe transport service is provided to children opting for school transport. High standard of hygiene is maintained in the school premises. Good quality healthy food, cooked in-house is served to the children daily. Various creative activities related to the curriculum and concepts are done with the children. The children are also taken out on picnics and some market visits.
