He was a revolutionary hero of the Indian Independence movement who participated in the mistaken murder of a junior British officer. Bhagat Singh Biography:
Bhagat Singh was born on 27 September 1907 in Lyallpur District of western Punjab (Now Pakistan) to Kishan Singh Sandhu and Vidyavati Kaur. He was the second of seven siblings.
When he was born his uncles Ajit Singh and Swaran Singh as well as including his father Kishan Singh, were all imprisoned for protesting in 1906.
He began to protest British rule in India while still a youth and soon fought for India’s Independence.
